Kids Cooking Class

A big thank you to the MOMs Club of Kent and to Learning Way School-age class. We had a blast making cookies, singing songs, reading stories, and most importantly, eating cookies!

The kids had a great time rolling out the dough and using the cookie cutters!

We read stories and sang songs while the cookies were in the oven.

 

And then, the best part, frosting and eating!

Tragedy in WC

This morning's shooting was such a tragedy. We at the bakery were quite surprised when King 5 News stopped by and wanted to know about the postive changes in WC. Stop by and sign the petition to get a Deputy returned to White Center.

3.14 Bakery Celebrates First Anniversary!

We are so happy to be a part of the White Center Community. To help us celebrate, for every piece of pie purchased this weekend, we will donate a piece of pie to the White Center Food Bank.

White Center July Jubilee Days

This weekend is White Center July Jubilee days, and boy howdy, are we excited!

With a backdrop of the Universe/Space Series, the artist Amara will be performance painting inspired by the musical stylings of Margaux LeSourd as part of the White Center Art Walk.

The music and painting start at 6 PM. Amara will be raffling and auctioning the paintings from the artwalk.

Also new at the bakery: Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cakeballs.

This is a cherry cake with pieces of maraschino cherries and cherry buttercream covered in dark chocolate ganache. Come in and try one!

Coffee Punch Cards and Happy Hour, Special orders

So several of our loyal customers have been asking for coffee punch cards. They are here. Buy 10 drinks get the 11th free.
Also we will try out having a Happy Hour from 4-6. Our lovely Baker/Baristas, Jen and Christine will choose one pastry and one drink to discount each day.

A huge THANK YOU to the Bodacious Ladyhood. We really enjoyed their accapella Christmas Carols and other swinging tunes. They packed the house with fans enjoying pie, cookies and coffee.

We also were host to our first baby shower this weekend. (Pictures comming soon). Mom-to-be and guests enjoyed tea, savories and sweets.

These past four months, we have been blessed with all of the community support we have recieved. We are so excited to be part of an up-and-comming neighborhood, and are looking forward to giving back to our community and helping it to grow. So, thank-you, and we look forward to seeing you in 2011!

3.14 Bakery Welcomes The Bodacious Ladies

Next Saturday, December 18, the Bodacious Ladies will be performing at the Bakery. This all-girl accapella group will be sharing thier holiday tunes starting at 6:30 PM.

Holiday Clothing/ Diaper/ Food drive

We are holding a drive for WestSide Baby and White Center food bank. From now until the 20th, bring in a donation and receive a coupon for $1.00 off your next visit.

Holiday Hours

The pies and rolls are ready and waiting for pick up. Our hours tomorrow will be from 8:00-12:00. On Friday we will be open regular hours.

Tis the season for eggnog, peppermint, and pumpkin pie lattes

Holiday Order Forms, New Art, and T-shirt Tuesdays.

Our holiday pie order forms are now available. We have Apple, Apple Pecan, Cranberry Apple, Pecan, Lemon Meringue, and Pumpkin available for Thanksgiving.

Thanks to all of you who rushed to our aid during our art emergency. We can now say that we have the intriguing art of Fritha Strand-Davern up on our walls. Come in and see it.
